Electrical Manager - 9 Months + Extension - Buckinghamshire 

Are you a Electrical Manager looking for your next contract? Our client is a leading global industrial and energy company spanning across all five continents and are looking for a Electrical Manager to help them in their mission towards a sustainable future. Positioned strategically, the company plays a vital role in the ongoing energy transition, serving as a leading integrated green utility with a global footprint.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive plans and strategies for electrical engineering projects.
  • Review and evaluate project designs for compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
  • Review, update and follow the cable lists and termination lists of the project.
  • Collaborate with the Grid Compliance Team, commissioning manager, SAP, AP and Site Manager
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, closely monitoring expenses and resource allocation.
  • Provide onsite supervision and guidance to the construction team during project execution.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties related to electrical projects and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with client consultant, contractors, architect engineer, engineering team, and regulatory authorities.
  • Promote energy-efficient and sustainable practices in electrical engineering projects.
  • Ensure projects comply with relevant codes, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Encourage innovation within the team, exploring emerging technologies to enhance project efficiency.
  • Stay informed about advancements in electrical engineering practices and technologies.
  • Stay at the forefront of advancements in electrical engineering, fostering continuous improvement within the team.
  • Work with the project management team to align electrical engineering activity.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in electrical engineering project management.
  • Proficiency in schematic diagrams, layouts, and electrical system planning.
  • Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, and distribution panels
