Delta V Engineer - USA, Seattle - 18 Month Contract 

Our client, a global biotechnology organisation, is recruiting for a Delta V Engineer to join their capital project in Seattle. This new build facility will house a therapeutic protein production plant, and we are looking for a Delta V Engineer to help expand our client's biotech operations throughout Europe. As the Delta V Engineer you will be responsible for implementing all safety requirements for a new build facility, estimated at approximately 14,900m2.

Responsibilities:
This technical leadership role will focus primarily on the use of DeltaV systems for a new build biotech facility, employing technologies including:
  •  Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
  • Supervisory Control Systems (SCADA)
  • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Process Data Management Systems
  • Process Data Analytics Systems
  • IT Integration Services
Requirements:
  • An engineering degree or comparable engineering/ manufacturing experience.
  • Experience and accomplishments in the implementation of DeltaV manufacturing automation systems.
  • Clear understanding of all aspects of DeltaV architecture. Capability to articulate different architectures including but not limited to virtual servers, operator interface practices, code development best practices, controllers and I/O.
  • Experience building technology roadmaps and working with business architects to deliver the proper technical solutions to the business.
  • Understanding of industrial cyber-security best practices for ICS systems. Able to work alongside corporate security professionals to develop and constantly evolve security standards.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to participate in global teams and having flexibility to support global time zones
  • Ability to lead teams, bringing people together to achieve a common goal of a deliverable
  • Ability to become influential in his/her area demonstrated by suitable technical degrees and/or experience.
  • Ability to work with business customers in a highly dynamic environment.
  • High personal integrity, credibility, and energy.
  • Experience and in-depth understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and application systems development.
