Contracts Administrator - Ohio, United States - 12 Months Contract

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical client based in the surroundings of Ohio. Due to a large capital investment and multiple projects on site, the client is looking for a Contracts Administrator to join their team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with the administration and execution of construction contracts across various scopes.
  • Manage general conditions and smaller service or trade contracts from issuance through close-out.
  • Support the preparation of contract documents, change orders, and amendments.
  • Work closely with procurement, project controls, and construction teams to ensure contract compliance and performance.
  • Monitor key contract deliverables, milestones, and obligations.
  • Track and resolve contract-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain organized records, contract logs, and status reports.
  • Support negotiations and supplier communications under the guidance of senior contract managers.
  • Assist in reviewing contractor performance and contributing to risk and cost mitigation strategies.
  • Provide input into lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key requirements include:
  • Extensive experience in a contracts or procurement role on large-scale capital projects.
  • Background in construction contracts administration, ideally in an EPCM or owner’s representative environment.
  • Experience managing general conditions or smaller trade/service contracts.
  • Prior exposure to larger contracts is a plus – opportunity to grow in this area.
  • Familiarity with commercial terms, scopes of work, and change management processes.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience using contract or procurement management tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Procore, Aconex) preferred.
