HVAC/ Cleanroom Construction Manger - Düsseldorf - Large Pharmaceutical Company - 12-Months 

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical client based in the surroundings of Düsseldorf. Due to a large capital investment and multiple projects on site, the client is looking for a Cleanroom Construction Manger to join their team.

The Construction Manager for HVAC and Clean Rooms will oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of HVAC systems and clean room environments in a new pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. This role involves ensuring that all HVAC and clean room construction activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the HVAC and clean room construction activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Oversee the construction activities on mechanical equipment such as; HVAC, cooling systems, chillers and air handing units from early design stage into  commissioning activities.
  • Direct and manage the general contractor on the installations
  • Monitor works completed by the EPCM and subcontractors   ensuring adherence to project/ client safety guidelines and project schedule.
  • Confidence to challenge the GC on incorrect works and lead suggestions for improvements and best practice.
  • Attend coordination meetings and liaise with senior stakeholders, the client, and the GC
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local permitting and government/local authority/statutory regulations

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on HVAC systems and clean room environments in pharmaceutical or industrial projects.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, clean room standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Language: Proficiency in English. German or other languages would be beneficial
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Experience in delivering full life cycle large-scale projects from conception to delivery
    • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
    • Proactive and able to anticipate project needs.
    • Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
