Civil Engineer - Pharmaceuticals - Germany - 12-Month Contract 

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical client based in the surroundings of Germany. Due to a large capital investment and multiple projects on site, the client is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Assessment: Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate suitability for construction, including soil conditions, topography, and existing infrastructure.
  • Site Preparation: Develop plans for site preparation activities such as grading, excavation, and utility installation.
  • Infrastructure Design: Design and oversee the construction of all civil infrastructure elements, including roads, parking areas, stormwater drainage systems, and utilities (water, sewer, and electrical).
  • Foundation Design: Design foundations for buildings and other structures based on soil conditions and load requirements.
  • Permitting: Obtain necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies for construction activities.
  • Construction Management: Provide on-site oversight of civil engineering work, ensuring compliance with design plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates for civil engineering work and manage the project budget.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
  • Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable design principles into the project, such as energy efficiency and water conservation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineering license (PE)
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles and construction practices
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other relevant design software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with LEED or other green building certification programs
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, GMP)
  • Experience with complex site development projects
