Another year has come and gone, and many of us here at QCS Staffing would say it’s been our best yet. From amazing internal success through to ongoing charity work and everything in between, there’s been plenty to celebrate over the past 12 months. Here are some of our key highlights:
Major business wins
There have been a number of commercial and organisational achievements for QCS Staffing this year, including securing a three-year extension of our framework agreement with Sarens. This partnership is an extremely positive one for us and provides a plethora of opportunities for heavy lift contractors across locations including Brazil, China and Peru. As a trusted supplier to global leader Sarens, we’re delighted to continue this relationship and help our network of professionals take their careers to new heights.
Another highlight was the announcement our CEO, Stephen Trigg, was selected as one of the top 100 most influential European staffing leaders in 2019. As judged by Staffing Industry Analysts, Stephen’s efforts have brought enormous benefits not just to QCS Staffing, but to our clients and candidates and the wider industry. This is a significant achievement for Stephen, who has been working in recruitment since 1974.
In July we celebrated the launch of our new website and brand, refreshing our identity to better reflect our vibrant, modern personality and approach to doing business. With a new colour palette, a redesigned motif and a brand-new website with increased functionality, we’re pleased to have a brand that truly reflects who we are as an organisation.
Next, for something really encouraging: In February we were placed 40th in the Sunday Times’ Top 100 Companies to Work For list, highlighting our excellent company culture and huge commitment to internal growth and development.
Celebrating long service
2019 was certainly a year of growth for QCS Staffing, with many new starters helping us to continue delivering excellent service to clients and candidates. It was also a year of major anniversaries. Director David Broome celebrated 20 years in the recruitment industry while Associate Director Lauren Potter rang in 10 years with QCS Staffing. Both David and Lauren have had an enormous impact on our business in recent years and 2019 was no exception.
Charity and community activity
There’s always lots of charity and community activities going on behind the scenes at QCS Staffing. This year we’ve continued to sponsor the Under 12s Wendover Junior Football Club and became one of the first recruitment companies to sign the Armed Forces Covenant, which means we support our team members as reservists and veterans in order to succeed in commercial life. Being a forces-friendly employer is important to us, particularly as one of our own team members, Zoe Dunhill, is a Royal Navy Reservist.
Our local charity work intensified this year after a very strong 2018. With all employees earning points to support local charities DENS, The Pepper Foundation, Thomley and the Swan Youth Project, it truly is a team effort that allows us all to give back while we work hard. This year we’ve beaten our 2018 total and have contributed £35,000 to charity!
