Project Manager - US, Louisiana - 12 Month Contract 

Be part of a next-generation pharmaceutical project that’s transforming how medicines are made.

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Louisiana, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Project Manager to join the team and help deliver this world-class program.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage the full scope of central utilities, warehousing, and tank farm infrastructure.
  • Lead the transition from basic design into field execution, ensuring readiness for construction.
  • Develop and oversee detailed construction plans, with execution targeted for mid to late next year.
  • Coordinate with design teams to ensure alignment with project requirements and timelines.
  • Review and validate engineering deliverables for constructability and compliance.
  • Manage early construction activities, particularly for warehousing, which is prioritized for early completion.
  • Oversee contractors and vendors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth execution.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Skills and Experience:
  • Proven track record managing large-scale infrastructure projects (several hundred million USD+).
  • Strong background in central utilities, warehousing, and tank farm construction.
  • Experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to lead across design and construction phases with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.

What you'll need: B.Sc/B.Eng. degree in engineering discipline, with particular emphasis mechanical or process engineering.Extensive experience from biotechnology or pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing/CQV environment.Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative and proactively respond to business needs.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Familiar with Delta-V & Navis Works an advantage.
