External Projects Project Manager - US, North Carolina - 12 Month Contract 

Our client, a globally recognized pioneer in Biotechnology, are recruiting for the position of an External Projects Project Manager. A leader in the industry, our client focuses on areas of high unmet medical need and leverages its expertise to stride for solutions. This is your chance to join them on their global mission to better the lives of those effected by disease and illness. The project at hand is for the construction of a new build biomanufacturing plant based located on the East Coast.

Essential duties and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Lead and manage the external projects scope, ensuring seamless coordination from design to completion.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, working closely with city officials and 3rd party GC firms to ensure compliance with local requirements.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and communication, reporting directly to site leadership and interfacing with internal and external partners.
  • Monitor contractor performance, budgets, and schedules to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to construction, utilities, and infrastructure.
Desirable Experience:
  • Proven experience managing construction projects.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering multiple projects over $5M each, with experience managing a portfolio of $20M .
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience reporting to site leadership.
  • Ability to navigate complex project environments, manage risk, and drive efficient execution.
