Electrical Commissioning Engineer - Austria, Vienna - 5 Month Contract

Are you a Electrical Commissioning Engineer looking for your next contract role? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a leading high-tech facilities provider based in Austria, on an initial 5 month contract.

Our client delivers cutting-edge projects for data centres worldwide. This is your chance to work with an innovative, market-leading company as their newest Electrical Commissioning Engineer.

What you’ll do:

• Lead commissioning, testing, and energization of MV and LV electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, UPS, and distribution boards.
• Execute electrical tests such as insulation resistance, relay testing, primary/secondary injection, and functional verification.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with construction, engineering, and vendor teams while ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards.
• Produce commissioning documentation including test records, punch lists, and system handover packages.

What you’ll need:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience commissioning MV/LV power distribution systems in industrial or high‑tech environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical protection schemes, SLDs, grounding systems, and testing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
