Automation Site Support Engineer - Ohio - 12 months

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for an Automation Site Support Engineer to support this project and help deliver this world-class program.

 
What you’ll deliver:

• Provide technical support for site automation systems, ensuring reliable operation and effective response to production-related issues.
• Develop and implement automation support processes, standards and best practices to support the transition from project delivery to operational support.
• Collaborate with automation engineers, site stakeholders and cross-functional teams to establish support models, work management processes and on-call arrangements.
• Support system go-live activities, operational readiness reviews, SOP development and the successful handover of automation systems to site operations.
• Monitor support performance, develop operational metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement within a GxP/GMP-regulated environment.
• Act as a key point of contact for automation support activities, providing regular progress updates, managing issues and ensuring effective stakeholder communication.

What you’ll need:

• Proven experience configuring, troubleshooting and supporting industrial automation systems, including DeltaV and/or Rockwell platforms.
• Strong understanding of ISA-88 principles, operational support models and automation best practices within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing and implementing automation support processes, standards, KPIs and change management procedures.
• Knowledge of PI Historian integration, data management and connectivity with process control systems.
• Hands-on experience with automation hardware, control panels, field instrumentation and associated wiring systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and documentation skills, with the ability to translate business and operational requirements into practical automation solutions.
