Automation Engineer - Ireland, Dublin - 12 Months Initial Contract

When it comes to the development and production of veterinary vaccines, our pharmaceutical client has the largest centre in the industry worldwide and is a Centre of Excellence; employing more than 1000 people. They are looking to add to their team and require a Automation Engineer.

What you'll do:
  • Partner with local site project teams to scope changes on the PLC system
  • Maintain Inventory and control upgrades to PLC/SCADA systems
  • Follow the SDLC Procedure to implement changes (covering RS updates, RTM Change control, Implementation and test)
  • Assist in integrating PLC/SCADA systems to core systems on the Manufacturing network including the site historian, Time server, central software repository etc.
What you'll need:
  • Experience in the commissioning of PLC/SCADA systems at a GMP manufacturing site.
  • Experience with Siemens software including TIA Portal, WinCC, PM-Analyse, Simatic Logon
  • Experience interfacing to control systems via common industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Profibus, Profinet, MODBUS (RTU and TCP)
