This is a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse & Logistics Specialist to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the key liaison between end-users and project teams to ensure operational requirements are integrated into warehouse and tank farm design and implementation.
- Provide input into facility layout, equipment selection, and process work-flows to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure that logistics operations align with GMP requirements and industry standards.
- Oversee the design and execution of warehouse storage systems, including material handling and flow strategies.
- Ensure the tank farm design meets storage, dispensing, and safety requirements for raw materials and intermediates.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to validate operational feasibility and safety compliance.
- Support the design and implementation of dispensing processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Assist in defining user requirements for dispensing stations, weighing equipment, and material transfer procedures.
- Ensure integration of dispensing operations within warehouse and tank farm work-flows.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, quality, engineering, and operations, to align project goals with operational requirements.
- Provide regular updates to the LRL Logistics Lead and senior management on project progress, challenges, and recommendations.
- Facilitate training and knowledge transfer to ensure a smooth transition from project to operations.
- Ensure all warehouse and tank farm activities comply with GMP, EHS, and corporate standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with storage, dispensing, and material flow processes.
- Support audits and inspections related to warehouse and logistics operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Extensive experience in warehouse, logistics, and tank farm operations within a GMP-regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), material handling equipment, and inventory control.
- Knowledge of tank farm operations, including safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Experience supporting project life-cycles from design through commissioning and qualification (C&Q).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with automated material handling systems and dispensing technologies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and their integration with warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to hazardous material storage and handling.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
