Site Manager - Heavy Lift - Antwerp, Belgium -12-Month Contract 

Are you looking for your next short-term contract Site Manager assignment? Our client, a global leader in crane rental services, is looking to onboard a talented UK based Offshore Crane operator for an ongoing offshore construction project. With state-of-the-art equipment and value engineering, this is your chance to join our client in their creative and intelligent solutions to support this major project.

The scope of this construction project is to transport, lift and install various offshore components. 


Responsibilities: 
  • Daily presence on the construction site
  • Drawing up a planning of work activities including the efficient allocation of people and equipment, which stays within budget
  • Checking that the work to be performed is feasible.
  • Responsible for all on-site activities related to hoisting, moving and transport * Responsible for proper coordination and supervising the performance of the work on location
  • Responsible for management of the on-location material
  • Checking the work to be performed with all staff and contracted staff on location every day
  • Monitoring the progress of the work; ensuring that the work is performed in line with the project planning, registering anticipated deviations to the planning and engaging preventive/corrective measures in consultation with the Project Manager
  • Holding kick-off meetings at the start of a project
  • Performing a final project evaluation with the Project Manager, Projects Manager and/or Operations Manager
  • Project administration
  • Registering, in writing, the daily work progress
  • Responsible for providing the required information for invoicing the contract variations

Requirements: 
  • Passport or ID card
  • Driving license
  • Safety certificate for operational supervisors (VOL-VCA or equivalent, f.e. SOS-SCC)
  • Proof of medical examination (fit-to-work)
  • A1

  • Communication in English
