Senior Process Engineer – Ohio – Contract- Pharmaceutical

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Support Process Engineering efforts for the design and build of biologics drug substance manufacturing facilities, ensuring cutting-edge technology and industry best practices are applied.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including automation, CQV, and equipment design specialists, ensuring seamless integration of biologics process systems.
  • Manage the design and implementation of single-use bioreactor systems, media and buffer prep areas, and purification operations (tangential flow filtration, ultrafiltration, chromatography).
  • Oversee process equipment selection and provide technical expertise in the design of equipment and systems for upstream and downstream biologics processes.
Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive years of experience in process engineering within the biologics and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing single-use technologies, such as bioreactors, tangential flow filtration, and chromatography systems.
  • Deep understanding of biologics production, including upstream (media/buffer prep, bioreactor design) and downstream (harvest, filtration, purification) processes.
