QC Manager - Data Centres - Brussels - 13-Month+ Contract

Our client is a well-known brand operating in 65+ countries and has worked on some of world’s largest mission critical and infrastructure projects. This client has aggressive growth plans and are one of the top 5 largest design and consulting firms in the world.

The data centre arm of the portfolio is a vital and growing area of the business; therefore, our client is always looking for the best talent in the market – and they are looking for a Quality Assurance/Control Manager.


The role:

The Quality Manager will manage the general contractor to ensure the highest level of quality and to ensure that QA/QC is being followed in line with the clients expectations. Although your main focus will be at the construction and handover phases, you will  support from the design phase all the way through to project close out to ensure you follow the whole project programme.


Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Hold an engineering degree (electrical or mechanical)
• Previous experience of managing a contractor and other vendors on site
• Previous experience of supporting large mission critical or industrial projects (data centres preferred)
• Proven history of leading quality management; managing Cost / Change Control, including change order review, negotiation, & recommendations, delay analysis
• History of ensuring QA/QC is being followed and reporting any issues/gaps to the appropriate person
• Construction and project close out experience - Initiate close out process prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance
• Strong communicator and a history of being client facing / the key point of contact on site
• Background in MEP works
• Fluency in English, French is beneficial
• Experience of Belgian projects is highly beneficial
• Rights to work in Belgium or an EU passport
