Project Manager - SWAT Lead - Pharmaceuticals - 6-Months Contract 

Our client, a global biotechnology organisation, is recruiting for a Project Manager to join their capital project in the South of France. This new build facility will house a therapeutic protein production plant, and we are looking for a Project Manager to help expand our client's biotech operations throughout Europe. As the Project Manager you will be responsible for implementing all safety requirements for a new build facility, estimated at approximately 14,900m2.


Responsibilities:
  • SWAT team lead will be managing a multidisciplinary team (mechanical, electrical, process, CQV…) including design, procurement and installation/construction.
  • Develop templates and tools to facilitate the “Works Request” Process, will influence the selection of the trades and companies needed to perform the SWAT TEAM scope in alignment with the project needs,
  • Supervise the work performed by this team, will ensure site Safety program and measures are observed, will establish a work permit process,
  • Work with the trades to develop ROMs for each Work Request that will include contractors time and materials, duration of works, and identify risk and mitigations as needed to prevent any safety hazards or impairments to the system in question or the facilities themselves. 

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience as package owner in capital projects within the biopharmaceutical sector.
  • Experienced in leading contractor teams, and supervising construction activities
  • Experience developing and implementing processes in a construction field; including scoping, budgeting, execution supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide structure and leadership and adhere to timelines in a fast-paced environment
