Project Manager - Life Sciences - 12-months - North Carolina

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in North Carolina, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities: 
  • Define and formalize project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Manage procurement and vendor coordination for necessary equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to align project execution with site requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop project plans and secure funding.
  • Work alongside site personnel and external partners to support project execution.
  • Develop detailed execution plans, ensuring alignment with operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee pre-planning and preparatory activities before project implementation.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring financial and timeline adherence.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between internal teams and external vendors.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying and resolving potential roadblocks.
  • Support overall capital project management efforts to maintain project momentum and successful execution.
Requirements: 
  • Project management experience in capital projects
  • Strong understanding of procurement and vendor coordination
  • Experience managing budgets and schedules for large-scale projects
  • Knowledge of industry, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
  • Ability to collaborate with design and engineering teams
  • Experience in securing project funding and resource planning
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
  • Expertise in developing and executing detailed project plans
  • Ability to oversee pre-planning and preparatory activities
  • Risk management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience monitoring project progress and resolving roadblocks
