This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in process equipment related sourcing, scheduling, planning, construction, managing, and tracking activities.
- Lead process equipment related change management by working with engineers, design leads, and project cross-functional team
- Track procurement progress and support procurement to ensure RAS (Required at Site) dates are met for construction materials and equipment.
- Participate in FAT activities to ensure equipment meets requirements and specifications.
- Support and coordinate equipment arrivals with construction teams.
- Support SAT, equipment site logistics, and other equipment commissioning and qualification activities.
- Collaborate with risk manager to conduction equipment risk management. Serve as risk owner to provide appropriate risk treatments to lower negative impacts and enhance positive impacts to the project baseline.
- Process requests for information and assure timely responses are provided.
- Track field progress and update bi-weekly progress curves.
- Provide project closeout and turnover scope to have a seamless delivery of the manufacturing capacity
- Other assigned project engineering and management responsibilities.
- Requires extensive experience delivering large scale capital projects for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
- Proficiency in process equipment design, specification, and validation (e.g., reactors, centrifuges, filtration systems, CIP/SIP systems).
- Experience with process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, and equipment layout.
- Familiarity with automation systems (PLC/SCADA), utilities, and HVAC in cleanroom environments.
- Proven ability to support and manage capital projects from concept through procurement, construction, C&Q, and systems turnover.
- Skilled in budgeting, scheduling (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), risk management, and construction quality control,
- Ability to work in fast-paced, regulated environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- CPM scheduling skills.
- Excellent planning, coordinating, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
