Project Controls Manager - Pharmaceuticals - Ohio - 12-Month Contract 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Controls Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.


Key Responsibilities:
  • The individual will be responsible for services in the field of program management for a large-scale CAPEX investment
  • Status / summary reports on progress to be written when requested
  • Work to be carried out within the program scope(s) and agreed budget
  • Project Governance
  • Project Controls management
  • Strategic optimization at program and project management level
  • Consulting on matters of strategic influence
  • Consulting in respect to corporate direction of capital investment
  • Cost estimating using extensive own bench marking data
  • Selection of subcontractors
  • Negotiations with subcontractors
  • Consulting to procurement
  • General trouble shooting

Qualifications:
  • Experience Providing Project Control expertise across entire project scope
  • Ability to Communicate / co-ordinate resources as required
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent, in an appropriate Engineering or Finance discipline and a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
  • Previous experience in execution and administration of largescale projects is essential
  • Good commercial and engineering industry knowledge is desirable
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively at all levels in the organisation are necessary prerequisites
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Controls professional on very large construction programs
  • Experience setting and leading project controls teams
  • Significant experience and strong problem-solving skills in project & program management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to interface with resources within and within project supplier organizations
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for project controls and scheduling.
