Procurement Specialist - Life Sciences - Contract - Puerto Rico

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Puerto Rico, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in CAPEX procurement, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven experience sourcing capital equipment for large capital projects ($500M+) in a regulated environment.
  • Strong experience in contract negotiations, supplier management, and capital project execution.
  • Project management skills with the ability to align procurement activities with construction, engineering, and operational timelines.
  • Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical capital equipment procurement.
  • Familiarity with logistics, warehousing, and installation coordination for capital projects.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, project controls, automation, and finance.
