This is a fantastic opportunity for a CAPEX Procurement Associate to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement Support:
- Assist in delivering capital projects in alignment with Global Facilities business processes.
- Support the development and execution of procurement strategies for capital projects to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate coordination and communication of logistics and warehousing requirements for capital equipment with Construction Management (CM) and Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms.
- Support the management of supplier relationships, emphasizing continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong working relationships with system owners, project controls, automation, and project management teams.
- Communicate site expectations to suppliers and provide updates on progress and performance.
- Gain a thorough understanding of and utilize global manufacturing and related business processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to meet internal specifications and standards.
- Ensure compliance with global procurement policies and assist in the development and review of local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
- Utilize e-procurement tools in accordance with procurement strategies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, preferably within a capital projects environment.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Basic understanding of logistics and warehousing principles.
- Solid analytical and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with project planning and implementation.
- General knowledge of manufacturing business processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work on smaller capital projects and support larger-scale projects.
