Mechanical Engineer - Denmark, Kalundborg - 12 Months Initial Contract 

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The company has grown to become a world leader in the development, manufacture, and marketing of innovative pharmaceutical products to alleviate some of the world’s biggest health problems.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the design, selection, and integration of mechanical process equipment including: pumps, filters, tanks and vessels and valves 
  • Develop and review equipment specifications, datasheets, and P&IDs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineering, validation, quality, and maintenance.
  • Ensure all mechanical systems comply with GMP, FDA, and EH&S standards.
  • Participate in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and qualification activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support capital projects from concept through to handover.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee equipment procurement and installation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including SOPs, maintenance plans, and change controls.
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
  • Proven expertise in mechanical systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, FDA, and ISPE guidelines.
  • Experience with CIP/SIP systems, hygienic design, and cleanroom environments.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering documentation systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of automation interfaces (PLC, SCADA) for mechanical systems.
