Downstream Process Automation DeltaV Support Engineer - US, North Carolina - 6-12 Month Contract 

We're hiring an Automation Engineer to support a major pharmaceutical manufacturing project in North Carolina. This is a hands-on role focused on DeltaV system integration, downstream process automation, and coordination with system integrators to drive commissioning and qualification activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Support DeltaV system integration for downstream equipment (e.g., chromatography, filtration, buffer prep)
  • Review, approve, and generate validation documentation using Kneat (FATs, SATs, OQs, etc.)
  • Coordinate and manage activities with the system integrator
  • Oversee loop checks, commissioning tasks, and support cross-functional project teams (Automation, CSV, CQV, Engineering)
  • Participate in functional design reviews and provide automation input for process areas
 Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS
  • Strong understanding of GMP pharmaceutical environments
  • Working knowledge of Kneat for validation documentation
  • Experience collaborating across automation, validation, and process engineering teams
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
