Planner – Ohio – Pharmaceuticals – Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Planner to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage high-level program schedules for capital projects, ensuring accurate forecasting and project alignment.
  • Own and oversee the Owner Verification Schedule and Operational Readiness Schedule, integrating project phases and milestones.
  • Lead schedule reviews, ensuring contractor submissions align with overall project strategy, scope, and deadlines.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, identify risks, and provide recovery strategies to maintain project integrity.
  • Work cross-functionally with contractors, engineers, procurement teams, and senior leadership to ensure project schedules are aligned with financial and resource constraints.
  • Evaluate EPCM contractor schedules, assessing feasibility and making strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide oversight for schedule risk analysis and implement corrective actions as needed.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in project scheduling and planning within large-scale CAPEX projects (pharmaceutical sector preferred).
  • Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of EPCM contracts, project logic, and scheduling methodologies.
  • Proven track record of managing high-value projects ($250M+) from planning through execution.
