OSI PI Specialist – Dublin – Pharmaceuticals

Our client, a globally renowned biotechnology organisation, and voted one of the top 10 best companies to work for in Ireland, is looking to recruit a OSI PI Specialist to join their team.

As OSI PI Specialist, you will join our client’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and be assigned to Digital Plant Dept for PI Data Analytics site wide systems engineering responsibility and support.


Responsibilities include:
  • Provide input to all design decisions for integration to Data Analytics systems to build and maintain robust high-availability systems that enable secure, scalable, and maintainable applications.
  • Ensure technical delivery of any updates to the Data Analytics systems as endorsed by leadership team to meet business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain all PI Data Analytics System (PDAS) interfaces including support for automation/control systems and benchtop laboratory instrumentation interfaces.
  • Contribute to a high-performance culture by proactively recognising and resolving issues before they arise.
  • Execute on Project Deliverables relating to the Installation and Qualification of additional Aveva (OSI) PI Infrastructure, Applications and Interfaces.

Required skills include:
  • Strong technical leadership and communication skills. Problem solver with a focus on achievement of overall project goals.
  • Development and presentation of technical strategies to senior management.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or the Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
  • Experience providing process control and information systems solutions and support to manufacturing organisations in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong knowledge of databases, reporting and analytic systems, use of data modeling, data processing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), data management, and visualisation techniques to implement and support solutions that provide data accuracy, ease of access, and business insights.
  • Experience with the following systems is preferred; AVEVA (OSI) PI Data Analytics System.
