Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, are looking for a LOTO Engineer to join their team. The company has grown to become a world leader in the development, manufacture, and marketing of innovative pharmaceutical products to alleviate some of the world’s biggest health problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- The role of a Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Engineer with a focus on Work Permits involves ensuring the safe isolation and control of energy sources during maintenance and commissioning activities.
- This includes managing the LOTO procedures to prevent accidental energising of equipment, which could pose a risk to personnel.
- The LOTO Engineer is responsible for preparing and reviewing work permits, ensuring that all necessary safety measures are in place before work begins.
- They work closely with the requester to prepare LOTO P&I Diagrams, install and inspect LOTO devices, and verify that the system is de-energised before issuing the work permit.
- Additionally, the LOTO Engineer coordinates with other safety and commissioning teams to maintain compliance with safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment
- Extensive experience in managing Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure the safe isolation and control of energy sources.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing work permits, ensuring all necessary safety measures are in place before work begins.
- Strong background in preparing LOTO P&I Diagrams and understanding of P&ID systems.
