Lead Delta-V Engineer - Ireland, Dundalk - 12 Month Contract

When it comes to the development and production of veterinary vaccines, our pharmaceutical client has the largest centre in the industry worldwide and is a Centre of Excellence; employing more than 1000 people. They are looking to add to their team and require a Lead Delta-V Engineer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • This role will work within the DeltaV Center of Excellence to provide technical guidance, lead sub teams, implement proof of concepts, and consult in all aspects of DeltaV.
  •  This role will also include supporting site operational automation team in their day to day challenges of operating DeltaV for all aspects of lifecycle management.
  • Working closely with the business, IT technical staff, other engineering groups to collaborate in delivery high operational efficiency to this key asset. The role will also have high collaboration with suppliers, Emerson directly as well as other solution partners, to ensure a cohesive technology roadmap is in place. 
Desirable Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Computer Science
  • Significant previous experience working in an Automation Lead / Senior Automation Engineer
  • Experience with DeltaV process automation system including demonstrated experience with solution delivery system configuration for as well as strong familiarity with the system architecture.
  • Experience with DeltaV process automation system lifecycle management activities.
  • Some experience with PLC/SCADA automation systems
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biological or bulk-manufacturing facilities is required.
  • In-depth understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and applications systems development is required.
