I&C Technician - North Carolina - 6-Month Contract  

Our client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization are looking for a talented I&C Technician to join their expanding team. With continued organizational growth and considerable investment across their portfolio and capital programs this is an extremely exciting opportunity to contribute towards their brand-new manufacturing facility on the East Coast of the United States.


Full Job Description:

  • Perform Calibrations to Instrumentation and Controls as directed.​
  • Perform advanced Instrument and Controls Troubleshooting / Repairs / Preventive and Corrective Maintenance to all Plant Equipment / Systems, Process Measurement and Control, Utility, Laboratory, and Bench-top Instrumentation.​
  • Follow standard procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and cGMP quality standards.​
  • Provide input, recommendation, and review for written instruction of Preventive Maintenance tasks and SOPs.​
  • Execute loop checks for new instrumentation.​
  • Execute initial/routine calibration work orders as required.​
  • Perform LOTO as required to complete I&C/Metrology activities.​
  • Provide training and mentorship to Tech I and Tech II technicians.​
  • Maintain frequent communication with manufacturing personnel to be aware of their priorities and to communicate equipment repair / calibration status.​
  • Assist with planning equipment / system shutdowns for maintenance / calibration activities.​
 
Requirements:
  • Highly experienced and have advanced knowledge of I&C/Metrology principles and practices.​​
  • Highly skilled ability to troubleshoot / repair instrumentation.​​
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) such as ProCalV5, Blue Mountain, Maximo, Infor EAM, etc.​​
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, or other automation systems.​​
  • DeltaV instrument commissioning skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.​​
  • Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting / repair of instrumentation and control systems.​​
  • May have specialized expertise in a particular area, such as electrical or automated systems.​​
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal to no direction from management.​​
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office or other relevant software.​​
