I&C Engineer  - Ohio - 12 Months with planned extensions 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a I&C Engineer to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation of instrument specifications and standards into the design in a timely, well-organized, and cost-effective manner.
  • Track and manage progress for instrument data-sheet reviews, calibration, and measurement uncertainty analysis.
  • Participate in I&C design reviews, addressing and resolving identified issues.
  • Provide oversight for instrument and field I/O panel installation, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Liaise with design firms, construction teams, vendors, and CQV representatives to align instrumentation with project requirements.
  • Manage contractors performing measurement instrument calculations and oversee loop checks.
  • Deliver consistent I&C support across all project areas, ensuring alignment with GMP and regulatory standards.
  • Provide progress data to the Automation PMO for inclusion in monthly reports.
  • Identify and analyze risks, developing and implementing response plans.
Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in I&C project management within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record in large-scale pharmaceutical capital projects.
  • Familiarity with project management tools for scheduling, metrics, and risk management.
  • Strong organizational skills and aptitude for data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional teamwork and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of DeltaV and Turck I/O hardware systems.
  • Formal project management credentials (e.g., PMP certification).
  • Solid knowledge of GMP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with quality oversight for instrument installations and commissioning.
  • Strong networking skills with experience liaising across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
