This is a fantastic opportunity for a HSE Advisor to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Puerto Rico, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with global HSE to ensure alignment with corporate priorities and standards, safe work practices, environmental requirements, and specifications and Playbooks.
- Advising the global Construction Team and Design and Build Contractor of upcoming high-risk activities, HSE planning, risk mitigation and LOTO activities.
- Updating and implement comprehensive Lockout Tag Out, and Safe Transition for Testing and Use Program procedures and other assigned programs in accordance with OSHA regulations, and company policies and expectations.
- Conduct regular training and orientations sessions for employees and contractors on LOTO procedures and protocols. Ensure all staff are knowledgeable and compliant with safety standards.
- Perform regular audits to ensure LOTO and Safe Transition for Testing and Use Program procedures are being followed correctly. Identify areas of non-compliance and assign corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all LOTO and activities Safe Transition, including training records, reports, and logs.
- Investigate incidents or near misses. Provide detailed reports and suggest preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
- Ensure that LOTO equipment is available and properly maintained, inspected, and replaced as necessary.
- Proven Experience Leding startup HSE program in Pharma/Biotech or Highly regulated industry.
- Requires extensive experience HSE Leadership Roll
- Requires strong experience representing owner or independently administrating a Safety Program
- Experience establishing and managing LO/TO programs in complex construction and industrial sites.
- Experience implementing LOTO in highly automated systems
- Current in US OSHA regulations
- Bachelor’s degree
- OSHA 30hr for the construction industry.
- Excellent Interpersonal and organization Skill.
