Electromechanical Project Manager - Belgium - 9 Months Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Lead mainly mechanical and electrical projects from planning through entire commissioning phase, managing budgets, time lines, and resources.
  • Responsible for project layout, flow charts, input for P&IDs, and design, ensuring the safety of the installation and process, while also simplifying operations (including ergonomics and automation) and maintenance, always with an eye on energy efficiency.
  • Oversee external providers (suppliers, integrators, contractors, etc.) to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams; you will work in a team with internal discipline experts and/or external engineering firms.
  • Work closely with the purchasing department for the procurement of all components, devices, and services.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely execution.
  • Coordinate and supervise project execution and design, ensuring alignment with predefined time lines and budgets

Requirements:

  • Extensive relevant experience with managing electrical and mechanical projects.
  • Sufficient technical & practical expertise.
  • Understanding of safety-related issues and risk assessment within an industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and execution, with a track record of managing projects to completion within set parameters
  • Strong hands-on personality.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a true team player.
  • Work accurately with a focus on quality and detail.
  • Ability to think critically and take responsibility for project outcomes.
  • Proficient Project Management skills
