Electrical Engineer – Ohio – Pharmaceuticals – Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Electrical Engineer to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as Owner’s Representative to ensure the Electrical Contractor’s work complies with plans, specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
  • Oversee electrical installations including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and communication systems.
  • Attend daily/weekly field coordination meetings with trades to resolve design discrepancies and integrate electrical systems with other disciplines.
  • Document construction issues, RFIs, plan deviations, and corrective actions within the project’s documentation system.
  • Monitor progress against the project schedule, proactively identifying risks and ensuring electrical work aligns with overall construction milestones.
  • Conduct field inspections, witness testing, and ensure systems are commissioned to required standards prior to turnover.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience as a Field Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or similar construction oversight role on large-scale capital projects ($250M+).
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and best practices (NEC, NFPA, OSHA).
  • Hands-on experience with power distribution systems, low and medium-voltage, and communication systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
