Document Controller – Contract – Ohio

Our client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization are looking for a talented Document Controller to join their expanding team. With continued organizational growth and considerable investment across their portfolio and capital programs this is an extremely exciting opportunity to contribute towards their brand-new manufacturing facility in the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Document Management: Monitor and manage the flow of engineering and project-related documents (including P&IDs, technical drawings, specifications) to ensure accurate tracking and timely updates.
  • Document Expediting: Coordinate the document review and approval process, ensuring all stakeholders, especially Engineering Managers, are meeting deadlines and providing necessary comments.
  • Upward Management: Hold Engineering Managers accountable to ensure timely document updates and comments are delivered.
  • Document Control System: Utilize document control software (preferably EIDA but not mandatory) to track documents, follow up on document changes, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Document Control or Document Expediting, preferably within engineering or construction projects.
  • Familiarity with EIDA software for document control is preferred, though not a deal-breaker.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior managers and engineers to ensure timely delivery of document comments.
  • Understanding of engineering documentation, including the difference between P&IDs, technical drawings, and other engineering-related documentation.
