Director of Construction - US, Illinois - 12 Month Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Director of Construction to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

What you'll do:
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple concurrent construction workfronts within large-scale life sciences or advanced manufacturing programs.
  • Partner with EPC and Design-Build firms to align on execution strategy, construction phasing, and integrated delivery approaches.
  • Oversee and maintain integrated Level 2/Level 3 schedules across contractors and site nodes, ensuring milestone alignment and early risk identification.
  • Drive construction turnover readiness in alignment with Commissioning & Qualification (CQ) systemization plans and handover strategies.
What you'll need:
  • Extensive experience in life sciences/advanced manufacturing with multi-building or campus responsibility.
  • Proven leadership of integrated L2/L3 schedules across contractors/nodes.
  • Experience aligning construction turnover with CQ systemization.
  • Evidence of driving constructability and re- planning that improved cost/schedule outcomes.
