Deputy Engineering Manager - France, Paris - 5 Months Initial Contract

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, are looking for a Deputy Engineering Manager to join their team. The company has grown to become a world leader in the development, manufacture, and marketing of innovative pharmaceutical products to alleviate some of the world’s biggest health problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Organise and facilitate coordination meetings between the different technical teams (HVAC, utilities, industrial, process, electricity, etc.) to ensure alignment of actions and objectives.
  • Supervise and validate design studies.
  • Oversee the drafting and execution of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish performance indicators for monitoring the progress of the ancillary project and the allocated budgets.
  • Propose and implement solutions to address technical and organisational issues that may arise during the project.
  • Act as a facilitator between the various engineering companies, the project promoter, and the client teams to ensure smooth and effective communication.
Desirable Experience:
  • Proven experience (minimum of 15 years) in managing large-scale engineering projects in the pharmaceutical sector, ideally on aseptic production or clean utilities projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical engineering requirements, particularly regarding aseptic filling processes and washing and sterilisation, clean/industrial utilities, clean rooms, and managing interfaces between GMP batches.
  • Proven ability to coordinate different stakeholders and facilitate interactions between multidisciplinary teams (engineering, quality, project support teams, production teams, etc.).
