Calibration SME - Remote (Europe) - 4 Month Contract

Do you want to work with an exciting company who are an established market leader within their niche field? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Calibration SME to work on an exciting CapEx project remotely, anywhere in Europe on an an initial 4 month contract. As Calibration SME, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a new state of the art facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this x role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Perform Analysis of Site Calibration Data and Processes.
  • Evaluate site Calibration SOPs and provide recommendations for improvement based on Global Calibration program standards.
  • Classify instruments criticality
  • Evaluate instrument operating and calibration ranges.
  • Read and interpret calibration certificate
  • Locate and evaluate current legacy Calibration Work Orders and determine steps to be taken to close each Work Order according to current internal compliance procedures.
  • Evaluate any vendor-performed calibrations and (where applicable) establish standards for each vendor as per the Global Calibration program.  These standards may include (but not limited to) building Calibration PMs, updating local procedures related to Vendor Calibrations, working with both Vendor and local Quality resources to ensure future Calibrations are procedurally consistent.
  • Work with Project Manager to develop project milestone, user requirement and deliver training and mentorship to personnel.
  • Support investigations of calibration failures.
  • Analyse calibration-related data from global sites to identify trends, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project managers to propose and implement process enhancements
  • Develop and present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders at all organisational levels
 Desirable Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences.
  • Proven experience as a calibration SME or in a metrology/data-driven quality role, ideally within life sciences
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across cultures and time zones
  • Deep understanding of calibration standards, equipment qualification, and GMP principles
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote interactions effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset and problem-solving acumen
