Our client, a global CDMO in pharmaceutical manufacturing, is recruiting for a Automation Support Engineer to join their new and exciting large-scale CAPEX investment programme. With a mission to provide process development and cGMP production in cell culture, microbial fermentation, and gene therapies, this is an outstanding opportunity make a genuine contribution to the biopharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design, implementation, and qualification of an Aveva PI Historian.
- Provide design review and input on system requirements for PI integration, tag creation, and interfacing for external systems.
- Responsible for translation of system requirements into Kneat test protocols.
- Responsible for testing of PI Interfaces and PI Point additions within Kneat.
- Coordinate with various project workstreams including Automation, FDBD Automation, Computer System Validation (CSV), Commissioning Qualification Validation (CQV), Process Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), and others as needed.
- Attend regularly scheduled project status meetings with FDBN System SME.
- Complete Safety, Project Procedure, and Project Instruction training as required.
Requirements:
- Experience designing, configuring, and implementing PI tag configuration or PI server configuration
- Experience in a cGMP facility or working with FDA regulations, S88 batch model, ISA 95, GAMP5 and 21 CFR Part 11 (ERES) is required
- Knowledge with Emerson DeltaV, PLCs, OPC configuration, and InfoBatch is a plus, but not required
- Experience with Kneat, a paperless validation software, is highly recommended
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and fluency in English
- This will be a Time & Expenses quote
- Provide rate sheet applicable for the duration of this project
- It is expected that this role will require 40hrs/wk. Resource should expect to be onsite in Holly Springs, NC for 4 days/wk. The remaining 1 day/wk can be either remote or onsite. This resource will report to the PI Automation Lead.
- FDBN requires 30-day notice prior to resource changes
