Virtualisation Administrator – Onsite in Valencia or Remote Within Southern and Easter Europe – Initial 6-Month Contract

Our client, an international IT service provider, is seeking a Virtualisation Administrator to join them as a contractor, with the option to work onsite in Valencia or remotely in Southern & Eastern Europe locations. Starting at an initial 6-month contract, multiple extensions are expected and there is great, long-term potential.

What you’ll deliver:

• Install and maintain VMware and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
• Perform VMware lifecycle patching and approved configuration changes.
• Monitor the health and performance of virtual machines and hosts.
• Tune environments and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot virtualization issues and resolve incidents and problems.

Key requirements:

• Extensive relevant experience supporting and operating enterprise virtualization infrastructure
• Proven experience installing and troubleshooting VMware vSphere and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
• Experience with VMware VCF, including VCF Operations and VCF Automation core components.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using tools such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Professional proficiency in English.
