Senior Mechanical Engineer - Germany, Frankfurt - Permanent Contract 

This is your opportunity to work for a global data centre company that partners with the world’s largest technology firms to provide robust and sustainable operating infrastructure.

With significant investments secured, this data centre group is entering their next phase of growth and are looking to bring on board a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Responsibilities:
  • Support in the management of the master planning of sites pre-acquisition, working closely with the site selection, leasing, and Development and Construction teams
  • Be part of a close-knit team, effectively supporting the full life cycle of projects, guiding the Senior Management around both internal and external resource management
  • Assist in managing consultant teams in their delivery, challenging the consultants to continually evolve and improve
  • Contribute towards the budget management across projects where an active project contributor. Review budgets and provide comments. Effectively track changes and cost risks, flagging to the Senior Management where risks exist, developing mitigation strategies
  • Liaise with worldwide colleagues to ensure that best practice is uniform across all our developments, irrespective of geographic location
  • Provide technical expertise in the design and installation of data centre mechanical systems, fire suppression systems, and physical security measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in mechanical or building services engineering and project management
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes
  • Solid understanding of energy efficiency best practices and sustainability principles as they relate to data centre infrastructure
  • Proficiency with MS Project
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Ability to support several projects simultaneously and effectively
