Senior HSE Lead – US, Ohio – Initial 12-Month Contract – Life Sciences

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Senior HSE Lead to support this project and help deliver this world-class program.

What you’ll deliver:

• Lead HSE across the assigned projects, establishing clear priorities, responsibilities and escalation routes with project leadership, contractors and site teams.
• Act as a senior HSE partner to project and operational leadership, providing clear advice, constructively challenging decisions and securing agreement on risk reduction and improvement actions.
• Review, develop and improve HSE management systems, identifying structural weaknesses in governance, accountability, resources and implementation.
• Tailor HSE programmes to the needs, risk profile and delivery phase of each project while maintaining alignment with corporate standards and applicable requirements.

What you’ll need:

• Demonstrated senior HSE leadership on capital projects with an individual project value of at least $500 million, with meaningful responsibility for project HSE strategy, systems and delivery.
• Experience within pharmaceuticals or another highly regulated, high-hazard industry, such as nuclear, chemicals, refining or oil and gas.
• Proven experience creating, updating or substantially improving HSE management systems, supported by examples of successful implementation.
• Experience supporting commissioning, startup and operational readiness, with an understanding of how HSE responsibilities and controls evolve as projects transition from construction into operations.
