Estimator - US, Ohio - 12 Month Contract

Be part of a next-generation pharmaceutical project that’s transforming how medicines are made.

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Estimator to join the team and help deliver this world-class program.

What you'll do:
  • Develop detailed cost estimates from concept through detailed design for major scopes of work (CSA, MEP, process utilities, process equipment installation).
  • Review engineering deliverables (P&IDs, equipment lists, GA drawings) to identify scope and validate quantities for take-offs.
  • Benchmark and validate estimates against historical data from large CAPEX projects ($500M+).
  • Support the procurement team with cost input for bid evaluations, tender comparisons, and vendor negotiations.
  • Track and report estimate variances, escalation, and contingency requirements in line with project controls.
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to ensure alignment of estimates with scope, schedule, and risk.
  • Provide input into project budgets, forecasts, and cost trending.
  • Support change management by preparing cost impacts for scope changes and design modifications.
What you'll need:
  • BS in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Requires extensive estimating experience on large-scale capital projects (>$500M).
  • Demonstrated experience on projects in pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotech, food manufacturing, semiconductor, or other highly regulated/complex industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of process equipment, clean utilities, and regulated facility construction.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard estimating tools (e.g., Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Sage, or equivalent).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction means & methods.
  • Strong communication skills to interface with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction contractors.
