EHS Manager – Italy – Initial 12-Month Contract – Life Sciences

Our global client with is currently investing significantly in their manufacturing programme. This state-of-the-art facility houses high-technology and next-generation processes to produce products that are distributed throughout the Globe. As such, they are looking for an EHS Manager to support their project based in Italy.

What you’ll deliver:

• Act as the project EHS lead, providing hands-on, owner-side health, safety and environmental oversight across major capital construction projects.
• Monitor the EHS performance of EPC contractors, General Contractors and subcontractors, ensuring safe execution and compliance with applicable legislation, site requirements and industry best practice.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations, while supporting risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Drive a proactive safety culture, monitor EHS performance and work closely with Construction, Engineering, CQV, Quality and Operations throughout project execution, commissioning and handover.

Desirable Experience:

• Extensive EHS/HSE experience supporting major construction, new-build or capital projects, with strong hands-on site safety experience.
• Proven experience managing and assuring the EHS performance of EPC contractors, General Contractors and subcontractors on complex construction projects.
• Strong experience conducting site inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations, with good knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective actions and construction safety requirements.
• Pharmaceutical/GMP experience preferred but not essential, with transferable experience from Data Centres, Oil & Gas, Energy, Chemicals or other highly regulated industrial environments accepted. Fluent Italian and strong English communication skills required.
