Construction Director – US, North Carolina – Initial 12-Month Contract – Life Sciences

Our client is currently seeking the skills of a Construction Director to support their team. Our client develops and delivers life changing medicines to millions of people globally and as part of their growth. With their Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing network growing rapidly, they are committed to growing their portfolio of commercial biologics products supplied worldwide – and this is your opportunity to be involved!

What you’ll deliver:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the overall construction programme, ensuring alignment with client project objectives, business requirements, safety standards, and schedule commitments.
• Partner with the Project Director and senior client stakeholders throughout all CPDP stages to establish and execute a successful project delivery strategy, ensuring Stage 4 execution activities are fully planned, resourced, and controlled.
• Develop and maintain the Construction Execution Strategy, Construction Management Plan, and associated governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with the Project Management Plan (PMP) and wider project delivery objectives.
• Lead construction participation during design development, ensuring constructability, operability, maintainability, safety, logistics, and commissioning requirements are incorporated into the project design.

Experience required:

• Proven Construction Management experience delivering large-scale pharmaceutical, biotech, or highly regulated industrial projects, preferably
• greenfield facilities.
• Extensive experience in construction management and project delivery, with
• significant experience leading large-scale life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or advanced manufacturing projects.
• Proven experience as a Construction Director, Senior Construction Manager, Project Director, or equivalent leadership role on projects exceeding $500M+ in value.
• Extensive pharmaceutical or GMP facility experience, including cleanrooms, laboratories, manufacturing areas, utilities, and regulated environments.
