Commissioning Engineer – US, Texas – Initial 12-Month Contract – Data Centres

As one of largest and most established general contractors in the Pacific Northwest, they are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support their large scale project based in Texas. 

What you’ll deliver:

• Execute commissioning and start-up activities for critical mechanical, electrical, and control systems, ensuring all systems perform in accordance with project requirements.
• Perform functional testing, integrated systems testing, and troubleshooting to identify, document, and resolve commissioning issues.
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to support successful commissioning and system handover milestones.
• Maintain commissioning documentation including test scripts, inspection records, deficiency logs, progress reports, and turnover packages.

Experience required:

• Experience in commissioning, start-up, field engineering, or operations within data centres, mission-critical facilities, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or industrial projects.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, chilled water, power distribution, and building control systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, commissioning procedures, and technical documentation while supporting system troubleshooting and validation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively on fast-paced construction sites and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
