Our client is currently seeking the skills of Sustainability SME to join their team. Our client develops and delivers life changing medicines to millions of people globally and as part of their growth. With their Drug Substance (DS) manufacturing network growing rapidly, they are committed to growing their portfolio of commercial biologics products supplied worldwide – and this is your opportunity to be involved!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure project Specific Sustainability and Environmental Protection objectives/goals/KPIs are clearly defined and agreed.
- Coordinating between internal stakeholders and external parties to provide a single point of contact for sustainability considerations, ensuring Sustainability targets and requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
- Ensure the project team has made all relevant Sustainability Specifications available to the Design Contractor. This shall include One SHE Standard - Minimum Environmental Protection Requirement, and Global Engineering documents – e.g. Environmental Excellence Best Practice Standard and Energy Modelling Guide, Sustainability Checklist documenting project commitments from previous stages.
- Review Contractor response to the Project Technical Requirements to ensure Sustainability requirements are correctly included
- Attend Project meetings on an as required basis to provide Sustainability support
- Support the Project Manager in developing project specific Sustainability Delivery Plan (SDP)
- Provide guidance on Sustainability processes and governance to Project Team and Work Package Owner teams
- Covering all aspects of sustainability (environmental protection) work scope including but not limited to: Facility design including architectural and MEP services and all aspects of Process design. This is inclusive of operational energy and carbon, Embodied carbon, Water, and Waste.
