Shell and Core Construction Manager - Berlin - Large Pharmaceutical Company - 12-Months 

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical client based in the surroundings of Berlin. Due to a large capital investment and multiple projects on site, the client is looking for a CSA Construction Manager to join their team.

The Construction Manager will oversee the shell and core aspects of the construction of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. This role involves managing the project from inception to completion, ensuring that all construction activities are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage the construction activities encompassing base building, facility , ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with designers, specialty consultants, trade subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency.
  • Project control interface: heavily involved inn contract negotiation and claim management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Project Director on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports.

Qualifications and skills:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on pharmaceutical or industrial projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
