Senior Estimator - Ohio, United States - 12 Months Contract with potential extensions 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Lead Estimator for capital projects ranging from $100M to over $1B, ensuring accurate and defensible cost estimates.
  • Develop and refine feasibility estimating models, utilizing factors and parametric modeling techniques.
  • Establish, enhance, and administer estimating processes, tools, and work instructions for GFD capital projects.
  • Support strategic facilities planning and profiling, preparing cost opinions for 20-40 projects annually.
  • Partner with planning and scheduling teams to develop milestone and CPM project schedules.
  • Oversee the development, data gathering, and maintenance of the GFD bench marking system.
  • Ensure data integrity, standardization, and categorization for cost tracking and historical bench marking.
  • Establish a system for tracking final cost categorization, creating relevant, searchable metrics for use in estimating.
Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience in capital cost estimating, project controls, and scheduling.
  • Expertise in estimating methods (life cycle costing, order of magnitude, parametric, deterministic) for large capital projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of capital project estimating systems and cost management tools.
  • Credentialed Estimator (AACE, RICS, or equivalent certification) preferred.
  • Experience in EPC/EPCM estimating for pharmaceutical, bio tech, or large industrial projects.
  • Strong ability to mentor, coach, and train junior estimators, fostering a culture of excellence.
