Senior Communications & Public Relations Manager - Houston, Texas - Contract

We are seeking an experienced communications professional to lead internal and external communications for a major client undergoing a large-scale capital investment. This role will be embedded within the construction and facilities delivery team.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the communications and cultural branding lead for a Fortune 50 construction program, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and project milestones
  • Act as liaison between engineering, design, and leadership teams to develop clear, engaging messaging for employees and stakeholders
  • Plan, manage, and execute internal communications campaigns including newsletters, cultural initiatives, and employee recognition programs
  • Develop and manage content for project-specific communication platforms (digital and print)
  • Organize and deliver large-scale events such as town halls, site celebrations, and employee engagement activities on active construction sites
Qualifications/Experience
  • Experience in marketing, communications, or public relations
  • Prior agency or corporate communications experience; experience in highly regulated industries preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex communications programs with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at tailoring technical messages for diverse audiences
