Safety Manager - Copenhagen - 12-Month Contract

Are you a Safety Manager looking for your next contract opportunity in Denmark? Quanta has the role for you!

Our client specialises in delivering pharma engineering solutions to the Danish pharmaceutical market. Contributing to over 1,300 engineering projects for their customers every year, they are experts in planning and establishing new pharma facilities, including upgrading, expanding, and supporting existing operations. As their impressive portfolio continues to grow, they are looking for a talented Safety Manager to support the success of their latest large scale capital investment project.

Responsibilities
  • Establishing (with assistance) written procedures as required for introduction of hazardous, flammable or explosive medias. Ensuring safety and legal compliance. It is a requirement that the candidate can point out exactly which procedural content is required.
  • Defining the safety strategy when introducing new hazards in the facility. E.g. “When we want to introduce ethanol into S.419, we make it safe by using this and that method”.
  • Preparing Safety Risk Assessments when starting new systems. The SRA’s must of course focus on the test situation contrary to the normal operation situation. This includes LOTO definitions check/update from the water situation to the hazardous media situation.
  • Ensure that safety measures defined in item 1, 2 and 3 are correctly executed by review, inspections, etc.
  • Participating in establishing an adequate safety environment (area separation, safety training, etc.)

Background/Experience
  • This person will need to have commissioning experience and with particular experience in introducing flammable/explosive medias in the process.
  • Previous experience in a senior safety role within pharmaceuticals / oil & gas / petrochemical industries.
  • Previous knowledge and expertise supporting a project within the commissioning phase (not just construction).
  • Experience implementing strategies, risk assessments, procedures, etc.
  • English language skills (Danish is NOT required).
