Quantity Surveyor - Netherlands, Rotterdam - 12 Month Contract  

Our client, a globally recognised pioneer in Biotechnology, are recruiting for the position of Quantity Surveyor. A leader in the industry, our client focuses on areas of high unmet medical need and leverages its expertise to stride for solutions. This is your chance to join them on their global mission to better the lives of those effected by disease and illness.

Responsibilities include:
  • To review changes from design team and their impact on install quantities, including vendor changes and any field impacts these may have.
  • To have commercial overview on the CM controlled sub-contractor packages including review of re-measures.
  • To commercially control any contracted parties that the project may undertake outside CM scope. Examples include Automation & Commissioning contractors.
  • Early identification of potential issues / claims from 3rd Parties, and involvement in mitigation of the same.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Studies, Engineering discipline. Or sufficient relative experience.
  • Extensive experience of large-scale multi-discipline projects of complex technical nature.
  • Must have experience of EPMC type projects.
  • Extensive experience within construction projects in a QS/Contracts Admin function
  • Dutch language skills preferred
  • Ability to successfully manage Dutch subcontractors and ensure the construction contract is successfully managed/delivered, raise any relevant deviations etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative and proactively respond to business needs.
